Any volume we add to our hair can make it look thicker. For hair on our head we add gel or mousse to help add body.

Volumizing Men's Brow Hair

Coating brow hair makes it look up to 1 1/2 times thicker.  This in turn makes you look like you have a lot more volume.  A liquid can shine, go on in "globs" or smudge.  A very fine dry powder with a high color payout coats hairs individually. It does not glisten, run or smudge, not even in the rain or swimming.

Application tips

1.  Start with a trimmed and brushed brow.

2.  Select a powder color that matches your brow hair. In this case dark brown was selected.  Some color choices are:

• putty (very light ash blonde)
• blonde
• light brown
• medium brown
• dark brown
• soft charcoal
• soft black
• jet black

 

3.  After placing the brush in the powder lightly tap the brush with your forefinger. This will shake off excess powder and stop it from falling on your cheeks.

4.  Brush powder on hair. A common mistake here is putting on too much. People find it looks so good - more must be even better. If you do overdo it our sponge brush or a cotton swab will help you take off excess.

What about products to help generate eyebrow hair growth?  Products that work to stimulate hair growth usually work in one of two ways.  They either:

• effect the hormones, which can stimulate hair growth (as in say propecia) or
• vasodilate the blood vessels (make them bigger) to increase the flow of blood (as in rogaine) and presumably, nourish the follicles.

When it comes to hair growth no one ingredient has proven effective for all individuals, all the time. Individuals respond to different treatments in different ways. What may work for one person may be ineffective in another, and so on.

What is certain though is that dilating blood vessels around the eyes is a major contributing factor to dark circles. Dark circles are frequently caused by dilated blood vessels in conjunction with thin skin around the eyes.

2. The shape

A sample of some 75 men were selected (based on their famous personae as good looking men). We found a number of commonalities. We identified three common brow shapes to this group.

Shape your brows into any one of these shapes by following the step by step grooming instructions for thick eyebrows. 

Plan before hair removal  and guide hair alignment as you brush to fill in sparse areas

Mark where you want the brow to begin.

Gently stretch the skin and tweeze or wax the unwanted hairs. Use brow gel to hold the hair in place. Let the hairs dry in place.

3. No hint of gray - vitality

Brow powder will make graying brow hair look stronger and deeper in color.  For maximum gray coverage the use of a white stick will coat the hairs making each hair sticky.  The result is more powder particles will stick to each hair giving superior gray coverage.  Under a microscope coverage looks like this.
